A Workbook on Shadow Work
Working Through the Shadows is a guided workbook for anyone ready to meet the parts of themselves they've learned to hide, bury, or avoid — the guilt, shame, anger, and old wounds that quietly shape how we love, work, and show up in the world.
Shadow work is the practice of turning toward those parts with compassion instead of avoidance. This workbook walks you through that process one exercise at a time, so the work feels manageable instead of overwhelming.
60 guided exercises, organized into 8 parts:
- Meeting Your Shadow — start noticing the patterns, avoidance, and self-talk that run quietly in the background
- Beliefs & Foundations — trace where your core beliefs and fears first took root
- Truth & Self-Worth — get honest about confidence, growth, and the stories you tell about your own worth
- Anger & Reaction — look at what triggers you, and what your reactions are protecting
- Comparison & Desire — explore envy, perfectionism, and who you measure yourself against
- Inner Child & Connection — reconnect with your younger self and how you show up in relationships
- Family & Values — examine inherited patterns, values, and what you truly believe
- Integration & Wholeness — bring the work together and step forward as a more whole version of yourself
Each exercise opens on its own page with room to actually think and write — never more than two questions to a page, so there's always enough space to go deep instead of cramming your answers into the margins.
This is real, sometimes difficult work. It's meant to be done at your own pace, with self-compassion, and — especially if things feel heavy — alongside the support of a therapist or trusted guide. There's no wrong way to move through it.
